Easter

Joyeuse Pâques! I drove the BB car and followed Lauryne through the backroads to the Godon's home in Sologny. Too many turns so I will have to practice that route several times before I try it on my own. Mimi took a nice picture of us when we first arrived...

Lauryne is holding Maellya. Marie-Annick is holding Gabriel, Francis is keeping me upright, and Harriet Ann is at the end.

Love that wisteria!

Lauryne and Kevin have been rebuilding the house next to Francis and Marie-Annick. They have a pool in their yard. I expect to make use of it when the weather gets hot.

Their salon, living room, has a wall of large windows with big shades to keep the sun out when need be.

The kitchen was rubble the last time I was here.

After admiring all the work that Lauryne and Kevin have done we returned to the Godon's and began our meal on the terrace. The appetizer was delicious, made of some leaf Marie-Annick had picked and chopped walnuts on pieces of toast.

Then we had an Easter egg hunt without any real eggs. Everything found was put in a basket and given to the 2 youngsters later on.

I thought I might have found something, but it turned out to be a wilted flower under some leaves. Then I was practically handed a chocolate bunny.

Mimi and Harriet Ann did much better jobs at locating presents and encouraging Maellya to come "find" the item.

Dinner was white asparagus, home fries, and roasted chicken with salad, bread and cheese. Lauryne had made a lemon meringue pie for dessert.

The little ones took naps and then rejoined us at the table.

The Easter presents we had all gone "hunting" for were now put to use.

Before leaving we got to see some of the lace that Marie-Annick is working on. Boggles my mind.

Harriet Ann and Mimi just before dessert was served.
As we drove out of Sologny, heading home, I made a small detour to check out the old lavoir...
