I didn't even get out of the car for this picture, but the next lavoir was down a hill in a field.
Francis offered to make the pictures more interesting...
The water was cold!
Anne waited at the road. Lavoirs aren't her thing, though she is putting up with my obsession.
This is the path which I trudged down to reach this very plain lavoir.
I wondered if we were still in Sologny, but the sign on the side of the lavoir proclaimed our location.
The next morning Anne and I were off to get cheese and see a little of the area. We would visit Cormatin in the afternoon.

We drove to the Blanot frommagerie. This is the view from their car park
Our toodling first took us up to Mont Saint Romain. I was struck by the patchwork of fields.
Check out the blog posts for May to see more of Mont St Romain. These wild flowers are adorable...
...and the plain yellow ones were cheerful..
I had forgotten the map so for the rest of our toodling, we saw mostly hedges. Anne likes white cows.
The rest of the herd was chewing cud under the trees, but the bull had attitude.
