Godon family at the cottage

From Niagara Falls we headed east. Our destination was the family cottage in Silver Bay, NY overlooking Lake George. The cottage has been in other posts so here is a brief look at the lake.
Silver Bay Association is a YMCA conference center. Here a group is learning to kayak.
This rock formation is known as Deer Leap. Supposedly Indians would chase the deer until they had no place to go but leap into space without parachutes. It is touted as an easy method of obtaining dinner, but I don't see it as all that easy...

Marie-Annick in a pensive mood
When NY State took over the islands of Lake George, the Catholic church made a deal and bought this island for $50!
I really should find someone who knows how to clean the inside of my camera! Though the Mohican has a smokestack, that's not a blob of smoke trailing behind the boat.
Ursula was at the cottage with her new puppy, Chase.
When placed on the floor, Chase looked more like a long haired guinea pig than a dog.
