Quilt Show

Mary and I went to the quilt festival put on by the Maple Leaf Quilters, partly because our friend Sue Ianni is one of the quilters and partly because the quilt Sue made for me was hanging in the show.
Neither of these is my quilt...nor do I know the lady. I took pictures of the quilts I liked best. Some were bed spreads and some were wall hangings. (I can't make this program add more pictures after my quilt so I'm going to try to tuck a number of them in here...)

Even crop circles from England made it to the show.
The gal who did this actually flew to England to see crop circle designs.

She also had a quilt about a fictional Polly where every square was another adventure based on men's ties that came from a thrift shop.

Two of her wall hangings were side by side. Mary liked the red one. I kidded her about liking chaos and dysfunction. The quilter came over and explained that there were no sewn edges; it was created from ripped fabric. Half joking, I asked her if she had been getting rid of demons. She replied, "Yes, a husband" and that the ripping had been a catharsis.

I preferred the happier, calmer blue...
Polly's Adventures
My quilt hung at the end of a row so you would see one side and be able to walk around the corner and see the other side. I had Mary take my picture with the two-sided bag Sue had made me...
