Elisabeth just drove around the sign and kept on going!
The location for her choral concert was the yard of an old chateau that was slowly being renovated.
A gander was guarding a half dozen goslings while ducks galore wandered at will.
While waiting for the concert to begin, I did a bit of exploring at the back of the house.A damned stream, partially diverted to under the house, explained the number of ducks.
There was relatively easy access to the stream.
Wire fencing across the stream and along the other side kept the ducks near home.
This is the back corner of the house and that pit with the ladder sticking up against the near wall is actually full of water that runs in from the stream.
The entire back section of the house was raised.
There is a room above this pit and a covered terrace above that room.
From the other back corner one can look under the whole back of the house. There was another pit filled with water, but it extended beyond the edge of the house and was barricaded by some old iron fencing to keep anyone from falling into it. A wooden platform partially covers this pit.
I have no idea what the purpose was for the water under the rear of this house. Nor do I know why there were easily a dozen gigantic cement frogs scattered about the yard.
The place was definitely unique, appropriately so for a rather unique chorus. Elisabeth is in front of the stained glass.
They first wandered into place from behind the audience, but they didn't stay in those places. Below, Marcienne is at the far right.
Everybody or somebody moved for every song, upbeat folk tunes from various countries. Notice, Marcienne is now at the far left! Elisabeth is in the audience with a few others.
The ducks did almost as much wandering as the people who were singing. There was no falling asleep at this concert! Below, Elisabeth is second from the left with a bead necklace. Marcienne is right behind her with short white hair. Marcienne's daughter, Matilde, kept me company in the front row of the audience. Now I understand why they had a thousand songs to sing in the car when they took me years ago on my first trip to Caverne Pont d'Ark.
