Saying Goodbye

We have driven past this spot on the road to Cluny probably 50 times over the past 3 weeks and Mimi wanted a picture of the valley. I’d ask if she wanted me to stop, but she always said no because it always seemed so foggy. 
On our last Friday, on our last trip along this road before heading to the airport the next day, the sky cleared, the sun shone, and Mimi took her picture.

Then we drove up to Mont St. Romain for a few more pictures. I liked the color along the tops of these trees…
As Anne explains it, something that is less than a mountain, but more than a hill, gets called a “mont.” 
It was a bit chilly so there’s a wisp of smoke from someone’s chimney below.

  1. Joe just looked over my shoulder and said some of these pictures could have been taken in Vermont!(Maybe a month ago).
