Labor Day Weekend -- 2013

Gregg, Sarah and Ursula had been at the cottage since Thursday. I was supposed to arrive on Saturday. I had noticed a few green beans in the field at home and decided I should pick them before heading to the cottage. It turned out to not be just "a few" green beans. These kept me busy for the next few days! When I returned home on Thursday, I had 10 quarts of frozen beans and two bags of big, tough beans for my neighbor's pigs. (Note the beans on the desk as well as in the cooler!)

Ursula had two stuffed toys that she said looked like Jake and William...

 Jake was curious...
William wasn't impressed...
Family left the next day. The dogs and I were left alone with our beans. Fortunately, Mimi was hanging out at her cottage. We found some time to swim, play Rummykub, and go out to eat one evening. I also found time to read a book and Mary drove over to visit for a day. She even helped with the beans!
